Discount Buying Strategies

First - DON'T buy the Discount Certificate until you are ready to use it. There are no refunds on purchases. Problems with delivery of the Discount Certificate will result in another being provided. To use the Discount Certificate it MUST be printed in color.

  1. Do window shopping on the internet and at dealers to find a good price. Write down prices you find for comparison. Make sure you compare features with features. The inclusion of a special feature usually makes a difference in price.
  2. When you are ready to buy, if there are several dealers within reasonable distance you are willing to go to, start at the closest one and get a solid quote from them.
  3. Often the first discount quote a dealer gives will imply that it must be taken NOW. Simply ask, "What price will you offer to bring me back to look at your sale after I've done my initial window shopping?" What they should give you is a ballpark figure for the start of negotiation later when you are ready to buy.
  4. Go to each dealer further from you and let them know you are checking dealers further away from you to see if it might be worth traveling a little to get a better price. (Is it worth traveling 500 miles to save $1,000?) Ask them for a price.
  5. You can include the Discount Certificate dealer who honors our service as one of those contacted - but DO NOT mention you are considering using the Discount Certificate. It's purpose is an extra savings the dealer has negotiated with us.
  6. When you narrow it down to one or two dealers begin negotiating for the lowest price you can.
  7. BEFORE you sign on the dotted line and pay the money, hold off for a little. If you are not at our sponsoring dealer, call our sponsoring dealer and give them a chance to meet or beat the deal you've worked out so far but DO NOT mention you are considering using the Discount Certificate.
  8. Determine if the price our sponsoring dealer can provide is sufficient to use our Discount Certificate. The sponsoring dealer's price (-) the discount (+) the cost of the certificate (+) any travel expense should be worth closing the deal with our sponsoring dealer. If it's not, close the deal with the best offer you received. It hasn't cost you anything extra.
  9. If our sponsoring dealer with the Discount Certificate is worth the cost of the certificate, make an appointment with the our sponsoring dealer to close the deal, come back to this web site, purchase, download and print IN COLOR the certificate and close you deal.
  10. If you are with our sponsoring dealer, get the best price in writing but make sure you set an appointment to come back later that day or the next day to close the deal. Come back to this web site, purchase, download and print IN COLOR the certificate and close you deal.
  11. YOU WIN!! Even if you didn't buy the Discount Certificate you found out that the price you got was really the best one you could get. If you buy the certificate than you saved even more than what you would have from your best negotiating.
